IV NAD+ for Chronic Fatigue

An otherwise healthy-looking woman lying in bed who appears to be fatigued and not feeling well.

Chronic fatigue syndrome can leave you feeling lethargic and lacking the necessary energy to get through the day. Although chronic fatigue is a serious condition that can greatly impact your quality of life, it’s often dismissed as a psychological symptom rather than a syndrome with physiological causes.

Researchers are still working to pinpoint the exact cause of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), but there are ways to mitigate the symptoms if you think you have CFS.

Managing Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

NAD+ is emerging as a promising treatment that can help manage the symptoms of CFS. NAD+ is a powerful coenzyme that aids in energy production and provides your mitochondria with building blocks to make energy production possible. Our bodies produce NAD+ naturally, but its ability to do so decreases with age.

Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The following symptoms may be an indication that you are suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome:

  • Decreased ability to tolerate activities that you were previously able to tolerate before your illness. Typically this reduced activity tolerance has lasted for six months or longer and is paired with fatigue.
  • Post-exertional malaise, which can be described as an increase in fatigue and CFS symptoms after physical or mental exertion that wouldn’t have previously been a problem prior to the illness.
  • Sleep problems or irregularities. Oftentimes, people with CFS have difficulty getting a good night’s rest, and even when they do, they may not feel rested afterward.
  • Brain fog or difficulty remembering things
  • Muscle aches and pain
  • Muscle weakness
  • Joint pain without redness or signs of swelling
  • Worsening headaches, or new headaches
  • Digestive irregularities
  • Night sweats or body chills
  • Feeling short of breath
  • Increased sensitivity or allergies to chemicals, foods, odors, light or noise
  • Tender lymph nodes

Understanding Chronic Fatigue

Chronic fatigue syndrome can leave you feeling extremely fatigued regardless of how much rest you get. It’s also referred to as systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID) and to date, isn’t explained by an underlying medical condition.

Extreme tiredness can detract from your overall quality of life and may make you feel less motivated to be active. CFS can interfere with work performance and make you less interested in your activities outside of work because you’re lacking in energy. Because of this, it’s understandable that having CFS may also foster symptoms of depression due to the chronically low levels of energy.

Researchers have looked at chronic fatigue syndrome as a potential symptom of mitochondrial dysfunction, which would explain this overall lack of energy. The mitochondria are the energy powerhouses of your cells and are responsible for both energy production and cell death. But if your mitochondria are struggling to produce the amount of energy you need function optimally then this may leave you feeling chronically fatigued.

NAD+ IV infusions can help address this.

Restoring Your Energy Levels with NAD+ IV Infusions

Giving your body that chance to restore your NAD+ levels may be an ideal option for treating symptoms of chronic fatigue or general tiredness. For some, this boost in energy can also help boost mood levels as well. A monthly NAD+ IV session can be like a monthly shot for depression in that it helps to restore your energy levels and stamina by rejuvenating your body with NAD+ directly to its cells.

Pairing NAD+ with CoQ10 Injections

A recent study showed treatments combining NAD and CoQ10 can help improve the maximum heart rate in chronic fatigue patients. At RevIVeDoc, we can pair your NAD+ Infusion with a CoQ10 shot to further enhance your treatment.

CoQ10 is coenzyme Q10 and a nutrient that your body produces naturally. CoQ10 is involved in protein metabolism, which plays a key role in our ability to process food and convert it into energy. Also present in many of the foods we eat, CoQ10 acts as an antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative damage.

Leave the Brain Fog Behind

If you struggle with chronic fatigue syndrome, it’s important to understand what can help mitigate your symptoms. Sometimes, getting more sleep and rest isn’t enough.

At RevIVeDoc, we believe in tailored treatment plans and can fully customize your IV treatment so it addresses your unique health concerns. NAD+ IV infusions and CoQ10 shots provide a holistic treatment combination that can help improve energy levels and address symptoms of brain fog or chronic fatigue.
